All the students in Tongji University are welcome to join the Student Union. It is responsible for organizing all kinds of student activities on campus. There are several departments in the Union and each of them has its own responsibilities.

Administration: It maintains the membership of the Union and functions as the coordinator among different departments.

Study: It is responsible for organizing activities related to improving study methods or hosting contest or competitions.

Propaganda: It is responsible for running the news and broadcast station of the school, publishing school’s periodical and maintaining school’s web site.

Public Relation: It maintains good relationship with other schools in the university, other universities, and companies.

Sports: It is responsible for holding different kinds of sports activities, such as basketball games, football games, badminton match, rope skipping match, etc.

Literature: It holds different kinds of literary activities, such as literature gatherings, parties, the music evening, etc.

Social Practice: It organizes students to take part in social practices in order to improve students’ ability and skills.

Women: It dedicates to the goal of paying special attention to female students and strengthening the communication between boys and girls. It also holds different kinds of activities for girls.

Science & Technology: It encourages and organizes students to take part in different kinds of scientific activities and contests, to work in projects outside campus and to invite expertise to give lectures in the school.
