March 11, President PeiGang met the chairman of our university and Great China IBM company. Mr Zhou Weikun and other 3 people toghther with him who came to visit the vice chancellor of our institute Dr.LiuQin and the IBM director of the center HuangJie were present.
President PeiGang was firstly thankful to IBM company and Mr ZhouWeikun for the strong support to our university for many years,especially for making great contribution to our university in the areas of bringing up professionals of software, telecommunication and management engineering.President Pei also introduced our university’s situation of the areas of construction of subject group and key disciplines , assuming the state and local construction of major projects and so on to the guests.Mr Zhou Weikun very appreciated the achievements that Tongji University has got in bringing up talents via school-enterprise cooperation in recent years,at the same time denoted that IBM company would continue seeking deeper cooperation with Tongji University in the areas of construction of new disciplines, R & D and application of new technologies.
