French Consulate General of Science and Technology Agency in Shanghai launched a pilot activity in technology in 2009 to search for the scientific research professionals in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Anhui and Jiangsu in China, and accompany them to France. The main target of this scheme is to enhance the attractiveness of France in the target group, which is formed by Chinese young scientists and technicians who have not been well-known by French scientific community.
Shanghai and the surrounding areas have a large number of excellent young people in academic, management and innovation, and scheme can fit together with them very naturally.
French Research and Innovation of Talents Scheme is aiming at those young researchers with a strong potential for discovery, and making them collaborate with the French collaborators to enhance the exchanges between China and France. They will get the opportunity to meet with the key scientific researchers in France. Additionally, the long-term aim of this scheme is to carry out scientific and technical cooperation between Chinese and French.
Every year, every 35-45 year-old research and development professional has the eligibility to apply for this program. For the selection of outstanding, talented people with strong potential, the applicant should provide a curriculum vitae to confirm the motives of the French trip, and explain the connection between this experience and the scheme.
After academic council formed by French collaborators reviews the materials, five winners will get France’s first invitation with the expense paid by the French Consulate General of Science and Technology Agency in Shanghai. Winners will be accompanied by a well-known French professional.
