Abstract:
Construction, Building, Architecture, Oil and Gas industries are important to many nations including Singapore due their contributions to economic developments. Planning, building and maintenacing play a crucial role especially when productivity and safety are concerned. In this talk, we will present our innovative research and development on the intelligent and high-performance technology for planning, building and maintenancing. We will share our earlier efforts in Singapore related to Building Information Models (BIM). This will then be followed by our research on intelligent planning for maintenance service of Smart Plants with the aid of Plant Design Management System (PDMS) in the petrochemical business. Next, our latest project on intelligent hoisting for BIM-enabled and precast-based housing development application will be discussed. Some topics of foundamental research on point clouds based geometry processing, GPU enabled intelligent and high-performance computing, and virtual & augmented reality will be briefed.
